Yes, I agree. This washing machine is only 18months old, but has probably had about 4 years worth of standard use out of it. Fantastic engineering in washing machines, they really do work hard, same is true of most dishwashers also.

I guess that depends how much you move your caravan! I think at the moment you leave it in a berth near Peebles? But maybe you go roving more often in the summer months.

Its part of my renewable energy home system, though possibly slightly over-engineered, but that just adds fun. At the moment, my only 60W panel is unconnected at the moment, and I've got a small wind turbine to put up also. The plan is to evolve the system as I get more parts, and time. You know doubt appreciate that small people (especially twins), have a an incredible ability to absorb all time and energy in the average week. Eventually I plan to have a low voltage circuit for various things like some lighting, charging for AA batteries and phones, and as a means to replace the multiple mains voltage adaptors that run set top boxes and the like. I will also eventually have an inverter to power some mains circuits in the house, this will evolve with time also, but probably some low energy lights around the house to begin with. I have longer term plans to use some low voltage pumps to provide water butt water to the toilets for flushing purposes. Anyway, lots to do, keep watching. Your welcome to come visit, and play with the buttons...
